This policy explains what personal data Car Services in Reading collects through this website and what we do with it.

The data we collect

• Booking details: your name, email address, telephone number and the address where the vehicle will be collected from, plus the vehicle registration you enter.
• Account data: your email address and a password you set, so you can return to a booking and approve work.
• Messages: anything you send us through the contact form or a booking note.

Where your registration goes

To price work accurately we look your vehicle up with three external services: the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency's MOT history data, a published repair-time and parts-price database for your model, and an address lookup for your postcode. These services receive the minimum data needed to answer — your registration or postcode — and no name, telephone number or email address.

Why we keep it

We keep records of all interactions to ensure service continuity: so a workshop can see what was agreed, so we can honour the warranty on work we have done, and so you can return to a booking you started. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing without you asking us to.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it. Write to us at any of the postal addresses on this page, or email admin@carservicesinreading.co.uk.

Our site uses cookies when you interact with our website. They keep you signed in, remember the booking you are working on, and let us see which pages need improving. You can block them in your browser, but the booking process needs the session cookie to work.
